Our Efforts to Address the Impact of COVID-19 Pandemic
We have been working tirelessly over the last four plus years to address food insecurity across Oakland for our unhoused neighbors. Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, we expanded our food and supply distribution program to also address the widened food insecurity amongst our seniors and low to middle income families across Oakland. EOC serves fresh and nutritious catered meals, groceries (meat, diary, produce, shelf stable goods), hygiene, sanitation and household items, Monday through Friday by pickup or delivery.
EOC relies on a dedicated staff and community volunteers to assist with in office packaging, assist with walk-ups, delivery to curbside communities and front door delivery service to families without transportation.
